The Gold Coast Video Camera Club caters for local members
living in Australia and New Zealand.
Monthly video assignments are set for members. These monthly
assignments challenge members to create a four minute video to a set
title or a longer video that can be any length up to 12 minutes,
made on a given subject. Shorter, 2 - 4 minute videos are encouraged.
Workshops are conducted for members on all aspects of video making.
These workshops may be conducted at a different location and on a
different edit system each month.
Two club meetings are held each month. These are on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday's of every month
(except December ). The club meets at the Mudgeeraba Primary School on Old Coach Road,
Mudgeeraba at 7.15 p.m. The meetings usually don't finish until after 10.00 p.m.
Outings are usually arranged on demand. This is as much a social occasion as an opportunity for
enthusiasts to use their cameras. We have a lot of fun on these trips.
There is one major club competition held in mid of each year which is known as the Alvin Award.
A clay sculpture of Alvin is the trophy and is very much treasured by the winner.
A second competition our Nature Night is with the single
topic Nature and is held in November each year.
2nd and 4th Wednesday's of every month
